RAISED RIGHT BEEF
PRINCIPLES OF PRODUCTION

1) Raised Right supports sustainable agriculture by working directly with family farms and ranches and by establishing Standards of Sustainability for every partner in the supply chain.
2) Farmers and Ranchers involved with producing Raised Right products are annually audited to insure adherence to a series of very strict protocols and record keeping practices.
3) Every part of the supply chain from farm to factories must adhere to extremely rigid food safety standards established by Raised Right Quality Assurance.
4) Cattle must be traceable from birth and health records and feed records must be maintained and remain accessible to Raised Right.
5) The traceability system will extend into processing plants as every box of boxed beef must include feedlot of origin and ranch of origin information in the bar coded label.
6) Cattle must be raised in accordance with Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) standards or an approved equivalent.
7) All partners in the Raised Right supply chain must meet environmental compliance standards established by Raised Right.
8) Raised Right animals must be grown and processed in a humane environment by people who are committed to Raised Right’s demanding standards for animal welfare.
9) In order to minimize the carbon impact as well as the amount of time cattle spend on trucks, every effort will be made to procure cattle that are no more than 250 miles from a processing facility.
10) Cattle must be fed a minimum of 100 days on a high concentrate corn or corn by-product ration and must be harvested at less than 30 months of age.
